about us
Three local designers, Shannon Robertson, Holly Webber and Rebecca Roth, established the market in April 2009 – a boutique art and design event, held monthly in the intriguing Masonic Temple. the market creators understood the need for a high integrity market, where up-and-coming Tasmanian artists, designers and makers could get the right sort of exposure. After a year’s hard work and dedication, three became two, as Rebecca stepped down, moving on to new projects and more precious family time.
Holly and Shannon have continued in their mission for local love, and strive to keep building a market that is passionate about showcasing the abundance of talent tucked away in Tasmania, while providing a platform for existing and emerging artists and designers, to sell their wares. the market is constantly evolving, hosting a new batch of stall holders each month. This means the products on offer are always new, exciting and forever changing.
the market features locally made unique jewellery and accessories, bags, limited run stationery, homewares, clothing, linen, beautiful garden design and innovative lighting products. Also, perfect little presents like delicious jams, homemade muesli and award winning fudge.
With the market well and truly established, locals now have a lovely monthly market to attend, and visitors to Hobart can head to the market knowing that what’s on offer is a snapshot of the vibrant art and design scene in Tasmania.
